Waterlife
What:
Documentary: Waterlife (2009). Free Screening.
“Waterlife” follows the Great Lakes from Lake Superior to the Atlantic Ocean telling the story of the last huge supply of fresh water on earth. “Waterlife” shows us the beauty of water and the dangers of what happens when we take it for granted.
The FREE screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Tony Maas, Director of the Freshwater Program at WWF-Canada; Dr. Romila Verma, CIELAP Research Associate, Watershed Management and Climate Change; and Hilary Van Welter, Director of Social Innovation, Windfall Ecology Centre.

Who: Free Energy
What: Philadephia's Free Energy will make you clap your hands and sing along to their exuberantly sunny pop rock. They'll be will be one of the acts to grace the Yonge and Dundas stage for NXNE 2010 festivities. There will be headline concerts, daytime entertainment and a music marketplace of sorts.

Doors Open Toronto
What: Doors Open Toronto. An annual event where 150 architectural, historic and culturally significant buildings are open to the general public. Admission is free and buildings include Canada's National Ballet School, the Ontario Legislative Building, the Tollkeeper's Cottage and the Green Roof at City Hall.

MMVA Wristbands

Who: MuchMusic (the Nation's Music Station)
What: Annual MuchMusic Video Awards 2010 Edition Wristband giveaway. This year's host is Miley Cyrus.
When: Award Show is Sunday, June 20 at 9 p.m. The Free wristband giveaway starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 12.
Where: Both the tickets and show will take place at MuchMusic headquarters (299 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON). If one cannot get tickets, there will be ample space outdoors to catch a glimpse of the show on Queen St.
Notes:
1. One must be 14 years old to get a wristband.
2. Photo IDs must be show to receive wristbands (ie. school photo ID with your birth certificate, license, photo health card, TTC card or passport). Birth certificates must be show if school ID/TTC card is used as ID.
3. Limit one wristband per person. If you get a wristband, it will put on and kept on until the MMVAs on June 20, 2010.
4. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Daily Food Bank.
Let the high pitched screaming begin!

Pillow Fight!
What:
"Pillows fly and teddies soar as you converge for a giant urban pillow fight! Swing and whack as you evade pillow-wielding assailants. Bring a soft pillow at 3pm and wait for the signa. Pillow fight!
Rules: Please follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and fun pillow fight for everybody!
+ Soft, feather-free pillows only!+ Swing lightly, many people will be swinging at once.
+ Do not swing at people without pillows or with cameras.
+ Remove glasses beforehand!
+ Deposit pillows in donation boxes or take them with you.
+ Pajamas welcome.
+ All Ages.
Cleanup: Please eliminate your use of feathers. By participating, you are pledging to clean up twice the mess you made.
This year, pillows will be collected by The Pillow Truck and redistributed to needy individuals afterward."
